Geotechnical Solutions
EEI provides geotechnical siting studies to provide geologic hazard data needed for EIR/EIS and related site and engineering planning, as well as specific geotechnical studies needed to provide design criteria for specialized foundations for wind towers and related power generation infrastructure. Such studies provide Owners with options which can result in substantial cost savings during the development and construction process.
EEI staff have worked on the investigation and characterization of projects up to 23 square miles for new energy development projects. Staff have worked for SEMPRA, PG&E, SDG&E, SOCAL GAS, and other large energy providers on power distribution, generation, and transmission projects. The Company's goal is to become the premier provider of geotechnical and environmental service to the energy sector in our geographic working area.
EEI's staff have substantial experience conducting geotechnical investigations and related foundation design and mitigation for large commercial building projects in California, Arizona, and Nevada. The requirements of these projects is substantially different than those required by residential structures, and require specialized experience and knowledge associated with seismic engineering, large bearing, traffic, and wind loads.
