Rancho Mission Viejo Site Investigation and Cleanup
EEI worked with a large landowner to transform the asphalt plant and aggregate manufacturing facility of a former tenant from an industrial landscape into a pristine and beautiful public golf course. Working in an otherwise undisturbed and natural environment, EEI assessed and supervised the remediation of 50,000-gallon underground storage tanks; installed and monitored groundwater wells to assess limited hydrocarbon releases, excavated heavy hydrocarbons associated with a former batch plant, and assisted the Client with mitigating tenant impacts to their property. This project was one of EEI's most rewarding efforts.
In my position as Vice President of Operations, for Rancho Mission Viejo, I have had the opportunity to work closely with EEI's principal geologists on a number of projects. These have included Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, site cleanups, compliance audits, litigation support, underground storage tank removals, third party data review, geophysical surveys and general consultation. EEI has proven to be extremely knowledgeable and easy to work with, providing timely and cost effective service. More importantly, they have provided the Ranch with the information we need to make sound business decisions while effectively managing our environmental concerns. We at the Ranch look forward to continuing our relationship with EEI and highly recommend their services.
