EEI works closely with many national retailers directly through master service agreements with their Western U.S. development entities or with independent commercial development firms. For instance, in the last two plus years of Tesco’s roll out of their “Fresh & Easy” stores, EEI provided Phase I ESA due diligence, geotechnical evaluation, and/or Phase II site assessments for over 60 sites. EEI also works closely with McDonald’s USA and Carl Karcher Enterprises to provide environmental and geotechnical due diligence and construction support throughout Southern California. EEI has provided many independent retail developers these same services during the acquisition and development of retail projects that include retailers like Panda Express, Walgreens, Starbucks, and Rite-Aid. We understand the challenges of retail development on small lots and can bring both our geotechnical and environmental remediation skills to resolve the unique problems faced by such developments in urban infill environments.
